If you want to really boost your immune system, then get regular chiropractic adjustments!
A new study shows that people who receive regular chiropractic adjustments increase their immune response by 200%.
You have probably learned about the connection between spinal alignment, and the function
of your nervous system. But did you know that your nerves affect every cell, organ or tissue in your body? Your
nervous system feeds energy to your cells and organs. If it doesn't work right, then your cells and organs suffer.
If it functions properly, your body has a natural power to fight off bacterial and viral invasions!
A review in the Chiropractic Journal of Australia, found that the nervous system
plays a primary role in the modulation of the body’s immune response. In particular, chiropractic adjustments (which
remove interference from the nervous system) were found to positively influence T and B lymphocyte numbers as well as the body’s natural killer cell numbers, antibody levels, phagocytic activity and endorphin
levels.
Patients with HIV (who received upper neck spinal adjustments) experienced a 48% increase
in immune cell production. (In Touch Magazine 1999)
Patients, who had been diagnosed with a serious illness and were under long-term chiropractic
care, had a 400% greater immune competence than people who were not
under chiropractic care. (From a study by Dr. Ronald Pero)
Since the nervous system regulates hormones, it can also have an impact on a person’s susceptibility
to cancer, according to Ronald Pero, Ph.D., the Chief of cancer prevention research at New York’s Preventive Medicine
Institute. In a research study that he oversaw in Lund, Sweden, Dr. Pero, also found a link between an increased risk for
certain cancers such as lymphomas and lymphatic leukemias in people who had suffered spinal cord injuries.
In addition, he charted the immune
responses of 107 patients, who were given long-term chiropractic adjustments to discover a startling 200% increase in their
level of immune-competence compared to those who were not under chiropractic care.
These studies and others support
what chiropractors have known for years…that chiropractic can enhance the body’s natural ability to heal itself
with the potential side effect of a longer more enjoyable life!
