Due to the harmful effects of dairy on the immune, cardiovascular, and nervous system, many times we will recommend that you eliminate all dairy foods from your diet.  We know from time to time you’ll desire something that tastes like dairy so we made this list available.  These foods are NOT as healthy as fruits and vegetables but they are much healthier than dairy foods. 

 

Ice Cream Substitutes:

Soy delicious

Rice Dream

 

Milk:

Almond milk

Rice milk

Better Than Milk – soy milk

Coconut milk

 

Butter Substitutes:

Olive oil sprinkled or drizzled great on popcorn, potatoes, etc.

 

Non-hydrogenated margarine 

“Earth Balance” 100% vegan  - www.earthbalance.net

  

Cheese Substitutes: (these may have casein or sodium casinate – try to avoid these)

Rice cheese

Soy cheese

Nutritional Yeast Flakes - Tastes Like Parmesan

 

Try pizza ‘hold the cheese”, it’s really excellent, just ask for extra sauce and get lots of toppings!
