“Energizing C-Boost” Smoothie

1 Banana

3-4 Strawberries

10-15 Blueberries

¼ Water Orange Juice

¼ Cup Water

1 Tablespoon Ground Flax Seed

Mix in Blender and Enjoy

 

Laurie’s Granola

10 Cups Rolled Oats

2 Cups Pine Nuts (Optional)

1 Pound Organic Raisins

1 Pound Organic Figs

2 Cups Unsweetened Coconut

1-2 Cups Sesame Seeds (Optional)

2 Cups Pepitas (Pumpkin Seeds)

2 Cups Raw Sunflower Seeds

1 Pound Organic Dates

2 Cups Slivered Almonds

1 Cup Wheatgerm (Optional)

Combine all ingredients in a large blow. Store in a tightly sealed container.  Invite your entire neighborhood to enjoy!

 

Fruit Bars

1 Cup Oat Flour

3 Cups Rolled Oats

1 Cup Unsweetened Coconut

½ Cup Chopped Almonds

20 oz. Can unsweetened crushed pineapple

1 Ripe Banana, Mashed

1 Cup Apple Juice

2 Cups Chopped Dates

Chop Oats to make Oat Flour.  Mix with

all remaining ingredients, except dates and

pineapple.  Use more apple juice to hold

the mixture together, if needed.  Press half

of the mixture into a 9x12 in. glass baking pan. 

Chop pineapple and dates in a food processor

until the pieces are small.  Place in a saucepan

and cook until thickened.  Spread over the bottom

crust.  Top with remaining whole grain mixture and

back at 350 for 30-40 minutes.

 

Raw Apple Sauce

Almonds Ground into Small Pieces

½ Raw Peeled Apple Cut into Small Pieces

½ Ripe Banana

This combination can be served as is or put

through a power juicer (with a blank screen)

to make a wonderful apple sauce.  For variety

add a date or a few almonds while putting apples

through the juicing machine.

 

Recipes for Life: Raw, Frozen Sweetheart Cake

 

1 Heart Shaped Cake Pan

(use regular bunt pan if Heart Shape not available)

32 ounces frozen rasberries (or Strawberries)

2 cups Almonds (slivered)

10-12 ripe Bananas (peeled)

 

Puree bananas in blender of food prcessor using S blade.

Swirl rasberries (or strawberries) into the pureed bananas. 

Place half of the almonds in bottom of cake pan and top

with banana/rasberry mix.  Top with remaining slivered

almonds, cover with plastic wrap and freeze overnight. 

To serve, remove cake from freezer, turn upside down

and run hot water over pan until cake releases. 

Cut and serve immediately, storing any leftovers in the freezer.

 

If desired, drizzle over this frozen Sweetheart Cake,

chocolate syrup made using carob. 

 Most of those who tasted it thought it was the real thing.
