ADVANCED FOOD COMBINING TIPS

Now that you have successfully implemented proper combining of groups of foods, we have provided a comprehensive chart, with a more detailed breakdown of healthiest foods in each category. Some foods are better than others for the body based on their composition, or based on the way they are harvested and processed. Locally grown, organic and non-processed foods are always best. Organic fruits, vegetables, grains, nuts and seeds are grown and harvested without the use of pesticides. The body is better able to digest and assimilate organic foods. The bonus is that many organic foods tend to taste better as well.

If organic produce is not available, there are certain foods, which have higher pesticide contents than others, even if you wash and peel them. They are: Apples, Bell Peppers, Celery, Cherries, Gapes, Peaches, Pears, Potatoes, Raspberries, Spinach and Strawberries, according to the Environmental Working Group (EWG).
